Soon Hee Newbold is an internationally acclaimed composer known for her captivating compositions which blend classical and modern elements. She has a distinctive style that resonates with audiences and is one of the most prolific and performed string orchestra composers in the world. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Newbold was adopted as an infant and spent her childhood with two sisters in Frederick, Maryland. She began studying piano at age five and Suzuki violin at age seven competing and performing at an accomplished level spanning decades.

She attended James Madison University and received her Bachelor's of Music degree with a focus on media, business, film scoring, and performance. Upon graduation, Newbold worked in entertainment for Walt Disney World in Florida as a musician and stage manager. She also produced albums and wrote and arranged songs for recording projects.

Newbold moved to Southern California where she currently resides. She has worked extensively in the film industry as a producer, director, and actor and expanded her music into film and television which includes the soundtrack to the western feature, "Ghost Rock" starring Gary Busey and Jeff Fahey. As a guest composer, conductor, and keynote speaker, Newbold has traveled throughout the U.

Aside from her music and entertainment career, Newbold is a martial artist and trained in several disciplines. She has a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, 2nd degree black belt in Hapkido, and black belt in Kigumdo swords. A storyteller with an empathetic understanding of artists and listeners, Newbold continues to be a trailblazer and prominent figure in the music industry.
